Summertime in Michigan

A taste of Michigan summer...

A taste of Michigan summer…

There’s nothing like a Michigan summer! Today I wanted to showcase some seasonal fun from the state that has inspired many of my creative works. If you’ve never traveled to Michigan, this is a beautiful time of the year to visit. In addition to the warm weather, there are festivals and other events that make the most of the outdoors, as well as the creativity of Michiganders. Check out the links below for more information…

      Hi Diana,

Thanks for your note and your post on my website. My wife and I travel throughout Michigan and have been to Leland several times. Beautiful community! Our favorite restaurant is the Early Bird. Next time we are in town, we will stop by your bookstore. We also enjoy Charlevoix, Traverse City, Pentwater, and Cross Village (Legg’s Restaurant). Thank you for carrying “21 Yesterdays”. Hope you sell a ton of them. So far, the one that has sold the most copies is “The Best Six Years of Any Life” but it has also been in print the longest.

      My best wishes to you,

      Joe
